Hanae Straub graduated from Washington State University with a Master of Arts in Choral Music Education in 2016 and a Bachelor of Music in Music Education in 2015 and has completed the first level of Kodály certification. As a soprano vocalist, Hanae has won many competitions at the state and regional level and has performed in many shows. She loves performing in many genres including choral music, opera, musical theater and classical art song. Hanae's latest performance was of the title role in The Merry Widow and prior was Wednesday Addams in The Addams Family. As a choir member, Hanae has traveled internationally with the Washington State University Concert Choir, of which she was the ensemble President from 2013-2015. In other leadership roles, Hanae was President of the Student American Choral Director's Association chapter at Washington State University from 2012-15. During her time at Washington State University, Hanae studied conducting under the tutelage of Dr. Lori Wiest, and voice with Dr. Julie Anne Wieck. Hanae is very active in her church and loves being with her husband, Nathan and French Bulldog, Francis Poulenc.
